A plane ticket and a new assignment

Assignments took me from California to North Carolina for propane service work, including inspections, underground lines and repairs.

For one Bay Area assignment, the company arranged my flight, hotel, rental car and company card. I kept the receipts and handled the work independently, navigating unfamiliar routes in a propane truck.

Some days ran to 13 hours. There was a lot to get used to, from the heat to the routes and equipment. I liked having responsibility in a new place. That's something I'd like to find again.
